Gladys Rae Roark

Celebration of Life

Gladys Rae Roark, passed away peacefully at home on May 28, 2024, with her granddaughter Amber by her side, at age 87.
Gladys is proceeded in death by her husband Jack Roark, her daughter Marian Popken, and her son-in-law Chuck Popken.
Gladys was born in Carlsbad, New Mexico and raised in Eugene,Oregon. She married Jack Roark and moved to Hawthorne, Nevada. Gladys was an executive secretary at the United States Air force base and at the same time owned and operated the Cliff House Restuarant. In addition, she coordinated and hosted the boat races at Walker Lake. The Walker Lake ‘100’ power boat races. After Jacks death Gladys spent more time with her daughter and her family and eventually moved to Honolulu. Gladys is survived by her brother William (Bud) Wells, her sisters Dorothy Allen, and Mary Emmons. Many nieces, nephews, multiple grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by many. As a believer in Christ she is now in heaven with the Lord. With an agape love until we meet again Tutu.
